Jiyao Ling—Professor and Doctoral Supervisor
Biography
Jiyao Ling, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Arts, Southeast University, was born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, in 1945.
Leader of National Key Discipline of Art Studies; Head of the Superior Discipline of Artistic Theory in Jiangsu Institutes of Higher Learning; Director of Centre for Artistic Studies, Key Research Base of Philosophy and Social Science in Jiangsu Institutes of Higher Learning.
1981—1994: Taught at the Department of Philosophy and the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Nanjing University.
He was voted professor in 1991(approved by the Ministry of Education in February, 1992). Since 1992, he has been enjoying the Special Government Allowances of the State Council, and was then transferred to Southeast University in 1994.

2003—2004: Guest Professor (Centre for Intercultural Studies, City University of Hong Kong).

Research Achievements
Since 2006, he has took charge of 3 key projects of the National Social Science Fund,2 projects of the Ministry of Education, 1 major project of key research base of philosophy and social science, Jiangsu institute of higher learning.
Since joined and taught at institute of higher learning, he has published 12 monographs, 5 textbooks and 210 papers.
