Biography

Ping Hu, professor of the School of Arts, Southeast University, was born in Leshan, Sichuan Province.

Administrative Post: Vice-President of the Professor's Committee of the School of Arts

He served in Nanjing University of the Arts (1987--1994) and the School of Arts in Southeast University (1994--).

  

Education

B.A. (Zhejiang Academy of Art, now China Academy of Art), graduated in 1982.

M.A. (Nanjing University of the Arts), graduated in 1987.

Major: History and Theory of Arts and Crafts

D.Phil. (School of Arts, Southeast University), graduated in 2004.

  

Research Interests

History and Culture of Design, Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage,Traditional Chinese Arts and Crafts and so on.

  

Research Achievements

2013: “Research on Ancient Woodworking Tools in China and their Scientific Value.” Special Project of “Compass Plan”, National Cultural Heritage Administration.
